Senior Care is committed to promoting elderly rehabilitation and health enhancement through collaboration with universities and professional research teams.

The Seated Tai Chi Exergaming research project by Hong Kong Metropolitan University has recently commenced across three of our Kowloon care homes. Through seated Tai Chi interactive exercise and health education sessions, the study aims to explore the impact of these activities on older adults’ physical function, cognitive ability and emotional well-being.

The research activities are designed, assessed and delivered by the Hong Kong Metropolitan University team, while our care homes support venue, staffing and daily operational arrangements, allowing residents to take part in different health promotion activities within a familiar environment.

Through participating in academic research projects, we hope to provide our residents with safe, engaging and evidence-based activities, while contributing to the development of long-term care services.

Senior Care will continue to collaborate with universities and professional organisations to promote high-quality, innovative and resident-centred elderly care.
