February 7 was a truly lively and joyful day at Senior Care (Fuk Kwan) Elderly Care Home. After months of preparation, the “Silver Voices” Singing Contest was successfully concluded. More than just a competition, the event became a meaningful celebration of intergenerational connection and shared joy. 🥳

🌟 Star-Studded Judging Panel

We were honoured to invite three distinguished guest judges — Pierre Ngo, Sonija Kwok, and Jones Lee. They offered professional insights and thoughtful encouragement, while also interacting closely with our residents, making the experience especially memorable and heart-warming.

🎙️ Competition Highlights

The contest featured multiple performances throughout the day, including both solo and group singing. Our residents revealed impressive hidden talents! Seeing them dressed for the stage, confidently holding the microphone and singing with passion filled the venue with vibrant energy and excitement. 🔥

What touched our staff the most was not who ultimately won the championship, but the deep support shared between residents and their families. Some residents were moved to tears during their performances, sharing heartfelt embraces with loved ones. These genuine moments perfectly reflected the original purpose of organising the contest. ❤️

🤝 Special Acknowledgement

We extend our sincere gratitude to Ultramarine Hong Kong, whose young volunteers generously supported the event by assisting with makeup and stage performances. The interactions between seniors and youths created truly heart-warming scenes that beautifully showcased intergenerational harmony. 🌈

Congratulations to all award winners 🎖️, and heartfelt thanks to every participating resident and family member. Senior Care remains committed to organising more diverse and engaging activities, ensuring our residents continue to enjoy fulfilling, vibrant, and meaningful lives in their golden years.
